Why Flying Geese Elixirs?
People ask me all the time why I named my company Flying Geese Elixirs. Most assume it has something to do with getting high, flying, or the fact that I make Delta-9 products. It doesn’t.
I love when people ask, because every time they do, I get to talk about my mom.
My mom loved geese. Throughout my life, she would point them out whenever she saw them migrating. She loved watching them fly in that perfect V formation. She loved how ridiculously loud they were when they honked. She loved their long, funny necks and she always told me that when she died, she was coming back as a goose. Not just any goose, either.
She would be one of those one or two geese way at the back of the V—the ones struggling to keep up and honking like absolute maniacs at everyone else to slow down. It made me laugh every single time she said it.
Then, four years ago on a cold, damp, overcast March morning, my beautiful mom passed away unexpectedly. She was only 63. She had so much life left to live and losing her changed mine forever.
But there are pieces of her everywhere in what I do today.
My mom always told me she was certain I would start my own business someday. More importantly, she believed I would build something successful by finding a way to help people. So, when it came time to name this company, there really wasn't another choice.
Flying Geese Elixirs is for her.
Mom-Fueled and Mom-Founded
My mom taught me to bake. She taught me about recipes and ingredients, and that what you put into something matters. She taught me to work incredibly hard, to take care of my family, and to put love into the things I make. I carry all of that with me every time I step into the kitchen and that's why Flying Geese Elixirs has never felt like just a business venture to me. It's a labor of love.
I'm building a small, locally owned, woman-owned company centered around making hemp-derived Delta-9 products that I am genuinely proud to put my name on—and proud to hand to another person.
That means quality ingredients, thoughtful recipes, accurate dosing, as few unnecessary artificial ingredients as I can reasonably use, and an almost unreasonable determination to make everything taste as delicious as humanly possible. Because you shouldn't have to choke down something that tastes terrible just because it's a THC gummy.
